Architectural Project Manager - Construction Administration

 OVERVIEW Our client, a nationally recognized AEC firm, is seeking an Architectural Project Manager – Construction Administration (PMCA) to serve as the firm’s on-site representative during the construction phase on multiple projects. This role is responsible for managing architectural project aspects and coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and government agencies to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, contracts, and applicable codes.
(We also have 2 Additional PM positions w/ this client: Production PM & Production Sr. PM)

 NOTE

  • Hybrid / Remote role; requires a dedicated home workspace and reliable high-speed internet within commuting distance to office in Orange County

  • Periodic Travel to construction sites for meetings, inspections, and project reviews is required.

  • 5+ years of construction administration or architectural project management experience required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field required.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage bidding and construction phase activities, including facilitating construction meetings.

  • Review and process RFIs, shop drawings, product submittals, and change orders.

  • Conduct regular site visits and field observations to monitor compliance with project documents.

  • Prepare punch lists, Certificates of Substantial Completion, and coordinate closeout documentation.

  • Collaborate with leadership on staffing, resource allocation, and firm-wide process improvements.

  • Assist with project budgets, monitor team utilization, and support billing review activities.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction administration or architectural project management.

  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and construction contracts.

  • Technical expertise in building codes and regulatory requirements (FHA, ADA, TCAC).

  • Experience with various construction types (I, II, III, V) and projects such as mixed-use, podium, and wrap developments.

  • Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.

 Compensation: $110k-$150k
